Beginning therapy can often feel intimidating. You are entering the unknown and stepping out of your comfort zone. Taking that first step is not easy, especially when it can bring up confusing feelings, anxiety, and overwhelm. The key is pacing and not setting the bar too high too soon.
I work through a Trauma-Informed lens, my approach is Client-Centered and Strength-Based. I will help you process your life experiences while emphasizing your personal strengths and promoting empowerment. I will encourage you to express yourself, sometimes employing non-traditional methods of therapy, such as art and play, to allow you to express yourself in the best way possible.
I am your partner in this journey, striving to create a genuine, honest, and empathetic space, where you will find a deeper understanding of your thoughts and feelings. We will share a warm, safe, and caring space where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself as you move toward the more positive changes in your life.
I have a passion for working with adolescents, families, and young adults. As a social worker, I have worked with youth, families and adults who faced different life challenges. I have provided individual and family support within the criminal justice system. I have also supported adolescents using diverse evidence-based interventions and modalities, helping them face life challenges, change patterns and understand their experiences and themselves.
