Post Partum and Prenatal Therapy

Are you worried about the health and well-being of your baby, or about your own ability to care for your baby?

Are you feeling trapped by your mood swings or irritability?

Are you pregnant and constantly feeling worried or scared?

Are you having difficulty concentrating due to anxiety?

Feeling a loss of your previous identity?

Being pregnant and having a child can be both a beautiful and stressful time in your life. For most, these moments are accompanied with rapidly changing hormones, changing dynamics in your relationship, your career and identity. As a result, these changes can bring on pregnancy and post partum related anxiety and depression. Therapy can assist you in managing your overall well being by helping you understand the root cause of your anxiety, reduce stress, develop coping strategies to cope with stress, improve your relationship with your partner, improve sleep and provide a supportive environment to help you through these changes.

Our skilled therapists will help you address your fears and develop coping strategies to deal with the physical and emotional changes that occur during and post pregnancy. Our therapists create a safe space for you to be able to express your emotions, develop coping skills, and understand the complexities of parenthood. In addition, our therapists are able to offer you (and or your partner) guidance on building strong parent-infant bonds, provide education on infant care and development, and help you in adjusting to the new roles and responsibilities that come with parenthood. Additionally, postpartum and prenatal therapy can foster communication and emotional support within the family, enabling partners to better understand and support each other during this transformative phase of life.
